The core of the cable is manufactured from industrial-grade steel, providing the structural integrity needed to support the weight and tension of a full-sized net. For enhanced durability and safety, the steel is encased in a protective PVC coating. This results in a total thickness of 6mm (consisting of a 4mm steel core and a 2mm white PVC layer). This coating not only protects the steel from rust and corrosion—making it ideal for both indoor and outdoor courts—but also prevents the wire from damaging the net’s headband, significantly extending the lifespan of your equipment.
