Which soccer equipment is the most essential for clubs, according to purchasing preferences in times of health crisis?

Our survey enabled us to gather testimonials from 45 soccer coaches. The vast majority were men (97.8%). Nearly 70% of them have been sharing their passion for the game on the pitch for over 3 years.

Naturally, for over 85% of those surveyed,soccer coaching is not their main profession. 33% of those surveyed are in charge of a senior team, and over 60% are involved in youth coaching (from U7 to U19).

To sum up, we mainly targeted coaches who have been coaching members of amateur soccer clubs for several years. These are the people best placed to help us identify the real needs of the men and women who volunteer their time on the pitch on Wednesday afternoons and weekends. • 75% instinctively said soccer balls.

Logically, footballs top the list of equipment most recently purchased by clubs. This trend is accentuated by the health constraints imposed by the Covid-19 crisis. Indeed, as soccer club members are deprived of contact during training sessions, coaches prefer technical exercises with the ball.
